A moment of success:
My 16 year old daughter spent 6 weeks as a live-in babysitter for a family in a suburb of NYC. A 5-yo girl and a 6-month old boy. My daughter had worked for the family last summer, when the girl was 4 and the mom was having a bad spell in the pregnancy. The family adores her. And works her hard.
This year, she told me, this job was the best lesson in birth control I could have possibly given her.
(yes, I've given her all the other info!)

Ooh - good to hear! My 14-year-old will be spending time with a family I know down in LA this next summer, to help take care of their kids & work on their ranch. I think it'll be a great experience for her too!
